Owner/Agent Luke Langner has been actively selling crop insurance since 2007 in the states of South Dakota, Iowa, & Minnesota. In the spring of 2014, he formed Lakeland Insurance LLC, which is an independent crop insurance agency.

“Our economy has promoted corporate big box, one stop shop businesses. As companies have expanded their product mixes, quality of service has not necessarily improved. Providing quality service is a full time job for all products, and crop insurance is no exception.”

Luke was born and raised on his family farm in Lake Township, Clay County, IA. In 2001, he received a finance degree from the University of Northern Iowa. A career in banking followed, spending a majority of the next 14 years in agricultural lending in numerous Ag sectors including cattle, hogs, poultry, dairy, and crop farming.

Meeting with producers and providing top of the line service, products, and smiles are his favorite things about crop insurance. “Knowing that a producer has the right product for their operation at the right price is very rewarding. Every dollar counts in this era of agriculture and I’ll find the right fit for your farm.”

Luke lives in Sioux Falls, SD with his wife Tara, son Andrew (10), and daughters Lindsay (8), Margaret (3), and Samantha (1).
